BILCO roof hatches in a multimillion-dollar biodigester project in Grand Rapids, Michigan

The Christman Company, out of Lansing Michigan, will be heading up this major project at the Water Resource Recovery Facility. This required coordination between ABP and Bilco.

Bilco’s contribution to this project is 19 hatches. Most of these hatches are floor hatches that allow access to lift pumps and other equipment through the floor. Some are for access to tanks to perform inspections. They have appealing features that offer fall protection grating that saves the expense of installing a rail system around every opening. Bilco offers a wide range of hatch sizes including very large custom-built units. This project should be completed in November 2019.
